At-home Beauty Treatments Offer Lower Costs, Lower Risks

Many are afraid to undergo surgery because of the risks or the expense that is often associated with these cosmetic procedures. Fortunately, there are now products that can be used in the privacy of your own home for a fraction of the cost, are more convenient and offer great results.

For years, those searching to get rid of fine lines and get that healthy glow went to a physician for microdermabrasion, a treatment where dead skin cells are removed with tiny silicon or aluminum-oxide crystals blown against the skin using a hand-held device and then sucked up with a small vacuum. Costing about $1,200 a visit, the procedure was not easy on the wallet. But there’s a new generation of at-home alternatives that allows you to get similar results within weeks. Creams and serums that contain Retinol (pure vitamin A) exfoliate the skin, giving a more youthful appearance. Those who want to go a step further can now buy their own high-tech beauty treatment system, a microdermabrasion machine, at a cost of $79.95 (www.sharperimage.com).

Some women are unhappy with the size or shape of their bust. They might have always wished they were a cup size larger so that their clothes fit them better, or they may have noticed changes in their shape after childbirth. Regardless of the reason, many of these women are afraid or unwilling to undergo the pain associated with implants. Others are simply not willing to fork over the average $5,000 cost for surgery. Now there is another option available, a system that is clinically proven to grow a woman’s own natural breasts about a cup size without surgery, pills or creams.

These are just a few of the do-it-yourself at home beauty treatments that are easier on your wallet, provide you with more control of your looks and can be done on your own time. To find out more about these treatments, log on to their Web sites or try the procedures yourself for the ultimate proof. – NU

You would need to get a Patent on this idea of yours. Your first step would be to visit the USPTO (United States Patent & Trademark Office) website and do a search to ensure its not already patented.

Then go see a Patent attorney. It will be very expensive, and take a long time to get a patent. You could do it yourself if you have the knowledge, but it is a very complicated process, and if you do it wrong, then its worthless to you. And don't use one of the fly-by-night companies you see on TV that promise to patent your ideas, they are mostly scams.

Start here to begin:

Good luck.

This is so so true…. YOu guys know that those Vietnamese girls that work in those salons all across the US are from one location were they get their schooling. Which is In the Silicon Valley.. They are “PUSHED” through a school there were a Vietnamese Owner of the school is making tons of money by illegally “PUshing” students through the program. They are the highest violated business out there for lack of “Cleanliness” Do not use Vietnamese business until they clean up there act!

I've used St. Ive's facial cleanser which has apricot and little scrub beads and that works well. I use it every other day and it really gets rid of the oil on my face and prevents breakouts. Plus it smells good!

Yes! First off it's natural. No additives, preservatives or fragrances. So for people with sensitivities, it's great. I have a buffy puffy thing (sorry, don't know the name) and combine liquid soap and olive oil. That cleans, takes off dead cells, and moisturizes all at once. It works great as a shaving cream for legs too!
For hair: a hot oil treatment. On wet hair that has been towled a bit, I apply olive oil and comb it through. Especially important for the ends. Massage your scalp and then while doing this, I have a dampened towel drying in the clothes dryer. While it's nice and hot, I wrap around my head and leave for about one half hour. Shampoo thoroughly twice. I put it on my cuticles at manicure time and a dab extra on especially dry areas. Feet with a pair of light socks at bedtime.

I too have dry skin and hair that tends to get frizzy in damp weather so I use oatmeal in my bath. You don't have to buy the name brand stuff, just good ol' Old Fashioned rolled oats. Don't use 'instant', it will get gooey and clog the drain. A easy face mask can be made from an egg white. Just separate an egg and whip up the white until frothy pat onto your face and let it dry. Then rinse off. Your skin will get the same benefit as an expensive peel-off plus the amino acids in the egg white are good for gentle skin. For your hair, make a hot oil treatment using extra virgin olive oil. Heat the oil carefully and don't burn your scalp :) Olive oil also is good for soaking your feet or rubbing them down after a soaking/bath.

if you get avocado, put it in a food processor till it is mushy, then put it on your hair for about 20 minutes, your hair will feel super soft and healthy.
i did this, and it felt AMAZING.

also, if you get an egg and mix it with olive oil, put it in your hair for about 15-20 minutes; after you shampoo, and whilst your hair is still warm (this will 'cook' the egg) this will give your hair a brilliant shine.

i just looked up 'beauty recipies' on google, and this website come up:
http://www.makeyourowncosmetics.com/
i flicked through some pages, and it looked like something you would be intreseted in.

hope i helped.
