Few Guidelines for Your Baby Care!

Few Guidelines for Your Baby Care!

Babies are a precious creation – you must handle him/her with utmost care. Your baby lacks muscle control, so you have to take extra precautions while holding, bathing, feeding, and dressing the baby. Lift the baby slowly and don’t rush when you carry her/him. Newborns are completely dependent on you.

If this is your first baby and have never handled any baby before, the baby’s fragility may be overwhelming for you. For many parents, just holding the tiny baby is nerve-wracking. For more details go to: www.baby-care-book.com below are few guidelines to follow and within a couple of days, you can become an expert.

1. Holding the baby carefully-For a new parent, who has no experience with infants, simply picking up and holding the little one is scary. Take suggestion from older member in the family and friends. Your baby’s head is big and heavy compared to other parts of the baby. Therefore, it is very important to support your baby’s head and neck when you carry the baby up and lay down. A good way to pick the baby up and put him/her down is with your whole arm, which supports spine, neck and head at the same time. When you are going to wake up your baby, don’t shake him/her, just tickle in the feet and the baby will be up. Some parents like to wrap their baby’s legs and hands in a blanket until they are used to it.

2. Feeding the baby- Feeding the newborn is something that every new parent worries about at first. At this period, babies drink either breast milk or formula. If the mother is breastfeeding, then feeding will most likely occur in every few hours and if the baby is bottle fed, then the gap between feedings may go up to two to three hours. Don’t forget to burp the baby after each feeding.

3. Diapering the baby-Everybody knows how to change a diaper, but when you have to do it yourself, it may get messy. You may feel awkward in first few times, but slowly with little practice, you will handle the newborn with ease. While changing diapers, use a waist-high table with safety straps. Lay the babe on the diaper, fold the front half of the diaper over the baby and tighten it with attached tapes.

For can visit to: www.create-super-baby.com Check the diaper in 5 to 10 minutes to see whether it is wet or not. Do not allow the baby to be in wet diaper for a longer period, which may lead to skin infection.

4. dressing the baby-Excited parents spend enough money to buy good clothes for their newborn baby. Whichever clothing you prefer, look for garments that are easy for you to put on and takeoff the baby like large necklines are easy to slip baby’s head. While dressing, support your baby’s head in one hand until he/she is 3 months old.

5. Bathing your baby- Bath time can be enjoyable if you know how to handle the baby while bathing. Until 10 to 15 days after birth, the baby is generally given a sponge bath and after that a daily bath. While bathing in tub, make sure to hold the baby in one hand tightly, otherwise the baby may slip. Right after the bath, wrap your baby in a towel and cover the head.

6. Make yourself sure to fasten the car seat or stroller every time when you are going out. Avoid bouncy or rough roads as this may upset your baby’s stomach.

It is better to ask for your family and friends to get through this time, which can be disturbing. Nurses can also show you how to hold, bath, change, and burp your baby. Though you may feel worried about handling a baby, within 2 to 3 months, you will get used to a daily routine and turn into a professional parent.

Is anyone looking for botanically based baby care products?
I was wondering if anyone was interested in sampling some baby care products. Many baby care products contain mineral oil, the molecular structure of which is too large to penetrate the pores of our skin, sitting on the top layer like saran wrap. These products get wiped off over time and give little to no benefit but rather a temporary feeling of softness. Babys in particular need pure water based products that will penetrate their skin and deeply condition and hydrate with the proper ingredients. Arbonne has a great baby care line that is botanically-based and pH correct, pediatrician and dermatologist tested, non-sensitizing, non-irritating, and formulated without nut oils. They are formulated with natural ingredients like oat flour which is an emollient and an emulsifier. It’s highly absorbent and hypoallergenic. Oat flour helps to soothe and soften dry, itchy and sensitive skin. I'm curious to hear your thoughts. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to send you a free sample.

My husband and I don’t want to take childbirth or baby care classes. Did you take the classes?
I have helped raise my two little brothers and I have taken care of kids for many years.

My husband has never really been around kids and held a newborn baby for the first time a couple of months ago.

I found 3 childbirth DVDs that have childcare, breastfeeding, Lamaze, etc on it. Its about 6 hours on each DVD.

We were thinking about watching the interactive DVDs and reading the many baby books we bought.

If he felt uncomfortable still, then we would go to the classes.

Did you take the classes? Any advice?

Impart Natural Baby Care, Protect Him From Synthetic Products

The skin of a new born baby is the most sensitive part of his body. Taking care of his skin and protecting it against the harsh weather conditions is equally important to providing him healthy food. Use of the right products is very important for the baby’s skin. Therefore, for best baby care, it is important that only the best products which are organic and completely natural are used.

Baby care is a task which has to be done with complete care and responsibility. Using any other product carelessly like it is done in case of adults may not go down well with the skin of the baby. Any artificial products that are used for baby care may cause rashes, allergies or even a permanent damage to the skin of the baby. It is suggested that only those products should be used which have nothing but completely healthy ingredients which are organic. This will ensure that the baby’s skin comes in contact with only the very soft textures of natural extracts.

There are various needs of the skin of a baby. Care is important for his sensitive skin. There are various products which cater to these needs. These include oils for the baby, nursing cream, rinse free cleanser, solar care lotion, diaper rash barrier cream, first aid lotion, everyday cream, etc. All these products are available online and available at highly nominal rates so as to make it easy to take care of the baby. Completely organic, these products inflict no harm to the skin of the baby. Complete benefits of the natural extracts that are used are obtained by the skin of the baby.

It is very important that the right products are chosen which are certified by the various agencies that have strict rules for approval. These rules ensure that no harmful chemicals are used for the baby care products which can in turn harm the skin and health. It is better to use quality products than inflicting damage to the skin of the baby.

Baby Care Games

Something is up with kids these days. Babies like exploring, playing and gaming a lot. Discussion of games that fit babies as they grow has taken centre stage in most homes. Parents are working hard to get give the required attention to their babies and baby care games is actually the answer.

Toys are fun for some kids, but games beat them with the exciting nature of interaction that it has. Games give babies a chance to think and play. Discussions have been carried from work places to play centers, about effects of games to babies. Games are a constructive learning process. Well, let the kids play and have fun.

But which games are safe for kids to play? With hundreds and thousands of baby games coming into the market these days, parents must be aware of the content that their kids watch. Share a game that you are sure is good for a baby.

It can be so embarrassing to organize a birthday for your baby only to discover that all shows you bought are kaput. Babies are honest people. Yes, the baby is not enthusiastic with the game because it’s not nice.

A talking baby will tell you off. Take a picture of a toddler who shows funny impressions when they hate a game. That pout mouth is an expression that she wants another game.

How many times have you told a kid to build a Snow Man game and she mumbles? Or telling her to build a house, a game, and they look at you with bad eyes? One baby might like Snow Man much to the chagrin of a parent who thought the game is scary to a baby.

The game of a house might not be visible to the baby. May be she spends most of the time indoors and would like something different. She wants to try the Snow Man because the game has an outdoor furnishing setting. As it is baby games is something a parent should invest in without semblance of a flaw. It is like breakfast and it is marked in the pay slip. When babies are in the ring of friend and family, they feel good. And this love and excitement is shared by all.

It is important to prepare your baby for school by bringing to interactive games home. These improve the thinking ability of the baby and increases self esteem. There are so many places where you can find baby games. Online portals specializing in games are the best in this case. They have researched around the games, done reviews, and are open for free consultations.

If you don’t like buying, activity centers beam with games that every kid would love. Add value to the life of your baby by taking them to these centers once in a while. These centers offer impressive slice of baby shower games that make your kid happy. Memories are made of these play games and it is nice your kid will enjoy.

A Primer In Newborn Baby Care

Posted by: admin | Comments (10)
A Primer In Newborn Baby Care

A new baby can be cute, cuddly – and downright scary! If you are a new parent, the responsibility for that little one is a heavy weight to shoulder indeed. The first piece of advice for a new parent is usually to relax, and try to enjoy those first few days and weeks with your new bundle. This will be much easier if you are well-armed with a few basics in newborn baby care. Consider this; your precious little one will do little else than sleep, eat, and dirty diapers in the first few weeks of life. These three processes are the first parenting basics that you need to know for your newborn’s baby care.

Sleeping

The first thing you need to know about newborn baby care is that your infant will sleep about sixteen hours every day at first. This sleep is generally done in increments of three to four hours, since that is as long as a baby’s digestive system can go without nourishment. Because your newborn will spend so much time in sleep mode, it is important that you provide the proper setting for him to catch his Z’s. A bassinette or crib that has been cleared of all excess bedding and pillows will provide the safest environment. It is also important to place your baby on his back for sleeping, since this reduces the risk of SIDS.

Eating

Babies need to be fed every two to four hours in the early days and weeks of life. This is true for babies that are nursed as well as those that are fed from a bottle. While demand feeding (offering food when the baby seems hungry) is a good approach, it can be used in tandem with a loosely monitored feeding schedule that will allow an infant’s digestive system to be regulated. This approach to newborn baby care tends to be easier with bottle-fed infants, since it is easier to keep track of how much the baby is eating. Burping is an important part of the feeding process, since it allows air taken in during sucking to escape before getting into the tummy.

Diapers

Once you have made your decision on whether to use cloth or disposable diapers, you might think that you have done your job in this area of newborn baby care. Not so! Besides diapers, you will also need to stock up on diaper wipes, diaper ointment, cotton balls and a clean washcloth. Newborns have very sensitive skin, so you must use care when cleaning your baby’s bottom.

Some parents prefer to use a washcloth and warm water instead of baby wipes, although there are many wipes available that do not contain any harsh chemicals that can damage your infant’s skin. It is very important as a part of newborn baby care to change your child frequently, since wetness on the bottom can contribute to diaper rash.

New babies are a wonderful addition to the family, especially when you are armed with the most up-to-date information on newborn baby care to prepare you for tending to your new little bundle.

Baby Care Tips - Your baby\'s Health Care

They want to ensure that they benefit from their experience. That is not bad. Listen carefully to what some say is not appropriate for today.

Many people still use vasoline petroleum jelly for a variety of baby care needs. Honestly, we do not kill. However, we know more about the petroleum products now that they did when many of my brothers were babies. Today petroleum products are not recommended for baby care. Your baby’s skin is still under development. You can find many more natural products to gentle baby care.

If you are a new parent and have never held a baby before they are soft. Support your baby from top to bottom. Baby Care Products - What You Should Look For In Baby Safety Products

Knowing what baby care products you should be looking for can be a troublesome and stressful experience for any new parent. Baby safety is very important, and the anticipation of the responsibility that being a new parent necessarily involves is usually coupled with being inundated with brochures, leaflets and books listing countless dozens of essential products that you will need to purchase and install.

A very important consideration for your new baby is the question of temperature. It is easy for small children to get very cold, particularly in their hands and feet, so make sure that you have plenty of baby clothes, rompers or sleepers, and items to cover the little extremities such as mittens and booties. It is important to make sure that your new baby’s head is always covered, as a good deal of heat can be lost through the head, and for this reason a bonnet or hat is important. This is particularly true if your child is born during the winter months.

There has been much written about how to ensure that your baby is safe whilst sleeping in their cot or Moses basket. Make sure they sleep on their side or on their back and that you do not use pillows, duvets or loose toys, as these can easily cover the face of your baby, resulting in possible breathing difficulties. Keep in mind that cribs and cots must meet federal and ASTM standards, so if you purchase yours from one of the top manufacturers you can be sure that these are met.

It is also important to make sure that your baby is sleeping in a room which is of an appropriate temperature. There are a range of baby thermometers available which clearly indicate the optimum temperature for your baby’s nursery. If the room is quite warm then it is important not to use polyester sheets, and to remove any plastic wrapping that may be around the mattress. Make sure that you have plenty of baby blankets, and warm slick suits or rompers, in case the temperature drops too low.

There are a tremendous number of baby safety devices available to help protect your baby from the various dangers that an average family home presents. From baby gates to door stoppers, from electrical output plugs to fireguards – the sheer number and variety can be overwhelming. But in thinking about baby care products it is easy to forget that many of these items might be better described as toddler care products. It will be several months before your baby stands any chance of being able to get anywhere near any of these household dangers.

For this reason it is usually advisable for new parents to focus on those products that are actually going to be needed in the first few days and weeks of your new baby arriving. Baths and bottles are of particular importance. As a mother, whether you have decided to breast-feed or bottle feed it is sound advice to have bottles and baby milk formula ready just in case.

You will also need to make sure that you have a way of sterilizing the bottles, and it may well be advisable to practice sterilizing and making up the bottles of milk. Make sure that your bottles are glass: Canada has banned the use of plastic bottles due the possible content of Bisphenol A (BPA) in polycarbonate bottles, and many environmental organizations are suggesting that other countries should do the same due to its possible adverse effect on the endocrine system, responsible for the regulation of hormones in the body.

When it comes to transport, car seats are of critical importance and you will have to purchase this before you get baby home. If there is one baby care product that must purchase new it is this. This is not the time to take a chance on second hand goods, the history of which you do not know, and any child car seat could have been previously damaged without your knowledge. Also make sure to check the expiration date – yes, they have one – and that the seat is facing to the rear until your child is over one year old and at least 20 ponds, when he or she can be switched to a forward facing seat.

It is impossible to know for certain which baby care products your own baby will take to best. As long as you have purchased a good quality crib or cot, with appropriate sheets and blankets, a huge number of nappies and changes of clothes for the first few days and are confident in using the baby milk bottles and sterilizers, then the chances are that you will thoroughly enjoy the first few days of having your new baby, although in your sleep deprived state it is unlikely that you will

remember this!

It is often difficult for new parents to understand what baby care products they should purchase for their new addition to the family. The problem is not the range available, but knowledge of all the hazards presented to babies, and how to protect them from the risks these hazards present. Baby safety is specific to new babies that cannot help themselves should they be in trouble.

Go online and check out the latest information on recent recalls of dangerous baby products that has been provided by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Some Important Tips for Baby Care!

Posted by: admin | Comments (18)
Some Important Tips for Baby Care!

Choice can sometimes be a good thing. With babies, as with adults, they are all different and what will work for one baby may not work for another. The best idea is to find a book that will offer several different solutions for the one problem.

Take, for instance, the issue of sleeping. I have three children, all with the same two biological parents but they are living proof that different children need different methods of baby care. My eldest always liked to be swaddled tightly so that she felt secure and then she would happily sleep. My next child had to be free, right from the moment he was born, he couldn’t bear the swaddling technique and his arms and legs were constantly on the move. My third baby simply didn’t sleep and no amount of expert advice worked until he was good and ready.

There are many TV programmers dedicated to baby care and baby health and parenting advice. These often follow one track and that track is usually the latest trend. Over the years we have had the ‘leave them to cry’ technique, the ‘check on them every five minutes but don’t pick them up’ technique and even the ‘let baby dictate everything’ technique.

Of course, child rearing is pretty much left to the parents choices and as long as the child never comes to any harm, you can agree or disagree with their methods, but it is still their decision. Not all parents relish these decisions; they recognize the huge responsibility of bringing another human into the world and the responsibility of shaping that human into a responsible adult.

However, the first few months of a baby’s life are never going to be remembered by that baby and should be an enjoyable time for the parents, if tiring. This is the time when you can gaze into that precious face and know for the first time in your life how it feels to have unconditional love given and received.

People who already have children will offer you all the parenting advice you could wish for. Some of it will be constructive and you will forever thank them for it. Some of it will be downright annoying and it is up to you to filter out what you need and what you don’t. Just remember that it is all given in good faith even that from the mother in law that shaped the way baby’s dad is today!

There is no right or wrong way to care for a baby or child. The love you feel for that baby will dictate many of the ways you look after it and your instincts will help enormously. For more help visit to: www.create-super-baby.com. You can listen to parenting advice from the experts through videos and books and you can even join parenting forums on the internet for advice or simply sharing experiences. These are always a good way of picking up tips that you may not have found in a conventional book but might just work to make your baby rearing that little bit easier.

At the end of the day, enjoy your baby and trust your own parenting skills and it will all fall into place without too much worry. A worrying parent creates an anxious child and then you are on one bumpy rollercoaster!

However, a baby needs to be fed and to have her diaper changed regularly, regardless of how tired and forgetful you are. These routines should not be left to chance. Fortunately the Itzbeen baby care timer will help you keep track of these routines, ensuring that your baby gets the attention and care that she needs.

The Itzbeen baby care timer has got 4 separate count up timers with optional alarms. The first 3 timers are used to count how long it’s been since the last changing, feeding and sleeping (or waking). The last timer can be used to count anything, for example how long since the baby was last given medication.

Here is an example of how you would typically use a timer. Let’s say you feed your baby and you press the feeding timer button. The timer starts counting upwards. A quick glance at any point later on will show you how long since you have last fed her. Furthermore if you want to be regularly reminded, you can optionally set the timer to sound an alarm after, say, 2 hours. This ensures that your baby is feeding at regular intervals, which may be something very important for certain babies.

Here is another example of how you can use it. Let’s say one evening you ask your mom to babysit your baby as you need to be away from home for a few hours. Before you leave, you show your mom how to use Itzbeen. When you come home, without asking your mom, you can immediately see how long ago since your baby was last fed and the diaper was last changed. It can also show you how long your baby has been napping. These are all really useful information to help you make sensible decisions regarding the care of your baby.

Other minor features such as nightlight, backlight and nursing reminder switch round up the package. The baby care timer is light and thus easy to carry everywhere.

All in all, this inexpensive baby gadget will be well appreciated by parents of new born babies. It helps parents remove the stress of remembering things!

Help answer the question

How do you care for baby rabbits?
I found four baby rabbits in my yard, the mamma wasn't far, she was dead though. So I brought the babies into my house to take care of them. I gave them regular milk through an eye dropper. Is it alright to give them regular milk? How many times a day should I feed them? They don't have there eyes open yet, there really adorable. How do I keep them alive though?
