		<description>My first week on the treadmill, I could only do 40 minutes. Week two, I&#039;m going on it 60 mins. a day. I try to do push-ups/curls as well to gain some muscle.

Working out and eating healthy food is tough. It ain&#039;t easy! I only lost a few pounds.. so maybe I need to try harder.</description>

		<description>I disagree with what most of the people above say.  Here&#039;s how it works.

When you start exercising and doing a constant motion activity (cardio), you burn energy (calories).  There are some fat calories that you burn right away, but it is in the form of quick-energy sugars in your muscles.  After 20 minutes of constant movement, your body uses up all its reserves of the sugar.  THEN it goes to glucose reserves stored as physical fat.  Your body starts burning that and you see the amount decrease in your body.

So, if you walk for 30 minutes, you are burning fat the whole time.  But your waist/hips/butt/thighs/arms won&#039;t see any difference until 20 minutes after you started.</description>

Aim for 3-4 miles a day
But start off slow if it&#039;s your first time running..it can be a bit overwhelming

You also alternate between Running and the Elliptical Machines (easier on the joints....)
