Diet definitely affects your menstrual cycle. Especially if you are losing weight. I would not worry, as long as you are not underweight or for instance have an eating disorder like anorexia.
You will get your period. Your hormone levels change with diet changes, so your body is just adjusting to the diet and weight loss.
It's great that you are eating healthy. Also, if you are exercising or doing a more physical daily routine that can also affect your period cycle.
Don't worry. Sometimes you can even skip a month. To be on the safe side, if you don't get it by next month, then you could see your doctor just to be on the safe side, that you are not pregnant.
It sounds as though your period is just late due to your recent weight loss and diet change. Your body will adjust and your menstrual cycle will start soon. Hope I helped.

Good description of your case history.
The only thing that you don't refer are the prices of glucose in blood.
At the moment, I can say from my experience as a pharmacist, that you are doing everything well.
Try also to walk at least one hour daily or to practice aerobic.
I suppose that now you have already moderated your diet according to your doctor's recommendations.
So, don't worry. Tell me something else. How are you testing your blood sugar and when? Are you doing that yourself at home?
Do you keep records of the measurments?
Has your doctor told you when to measure glucose?
What are the prices of your blood pressure? Is it normal?
What is your weight?....I don't want to sound rude but it has to do also this. We worry more for individuals having central obesity than for the ones having accumulated fat around the hips. You know, today we are talking about the metabolic syndrome, because sometimes these 3 things
(diabetes,hypertension, atherosclerosis)coexist.
What about the prices of glucose, aren't they diminished?
The previous answerer is right ; don't drink even that glass of wine and be patient.
Ask about fiber ; if you have not any problems with your intestine you can take it and it is a very helpful food supplement in many cases.
Think about all these and if you feel that you want something more, feel free to come back and then cross the information with your doctor.

OK MsKnowltAll,

This means that this medicine works to you.
A small tip: if you do the measurements and you have the cold, maybe you will find higher rates of glucose than you normally do ; don't worry, it is normal.
Your doctor has told you that there is no need to do these measurements frequently. This is his professional opinion, I am not going to say something different. Maybe he has seen that you was anxious and he didn't like to tell you to do also this.
I will tell you when it is correct to do these measurements, so you will know and you will decide yourself what to do.
Before meals and 2 hours after meals and before going to bed (in one condition: you had the last meal 2 hours before going to bed). It has to be normal at this time.
Usually, doctors are recommending to create a diagram, a curve, using the prices found in blood measurements; I know that this is the indication that they use today in order to say if somebody is diabetic or not and to control the sucess of the therapy, not a single estimation of blood sugar.
How to create this curve, is another issue and you can get informed asking your doctor(if he is negative, ask your pharmacist or a patients association or I can e-mail you information). What I know is that in order to create this diagram, you have to take a certain amount of glucose and do some blood measurments in a certain period of time.
Think about keeping your arteries and veins in a good condition, controlling your food. Diabetes is a disease that can affect the vessels if you don't pay attention(each vessel has three parts, three coats and the internal part, that is more vulnerable in our case, is called endothelium).
I don't want to scare you with this, but you have to know everything, so you will know how to protect yourself. I do the same with my clients, in the pharmacy.
You have to take antioxidants like vit. C and vit. E that can be found in oranges and in olive oil(mainly). Eat the whole orange, don't drink just the juice, there is some difference: the whole orange contains also fiber that is beneficial. Now, what about the quantities of vitamins that you have to take daily? For example if you have to take 135mg. of vit. C daily, where will you find it and how many portions you have to eat in order to take it?
We all know that vit.C is present in all the green vegetables, not just in oranges.
Are also important the omega-3 and 6 fatty acids, in order to control colesterol and good vessel's condition.
There is a site that you can visit, it is the http://www.usda.gov go under the food and nutrition section then click on what's in the food you eat in order to take valid information about it.
So, you can educate yourself that I am sure you did already after your doctor's instructions.(don't exagerate with oranges, they contain fructose but be prudent)
There are also other sites that you can visit but my opinion is not to stay all day thinking about that. There are also other beautiful things to do,no?
It is also important to be calm and confident to the therapy. I always say that this is the other half of a successful treatment.

I came back and I have added something on the curve that we create for the estimation of diabetes. Have a look.

YOu can't get pregnant from oral sex. And I think you should look into birth control before you go any further.

You are VERY young to have a regular period. Most girls your age don't, and your period changes over time. Stress can also play a big factor in your period. If you are very stressed out, you can easily skip periods. If you are underweight, exercise too much, don't eat right and don't sleep regularly, you can also skip periods. The spotting you had may very well have been a very very light period.

PS, sweetie, you probably wouldn't be peeing any more than normal, nor would your stomach start to show this early in pregnancy. You may want to see a doctor because sometimes amenoria (lack of period) is caused by illness or disease, so you may want to find out more to make sure there isn't anything else going on.
