Help answer the question
What causes skin cancer and what are the effects?
Well, I am 13, and I have gotten two severe sunburns this past month. My mom said they were pretty bad, and they can cause skin cancer in the future. Is this really true? If not what are the real causes of skin cancer? What are the effects?

3? There are 5.
A- asymmetry. Most everything in the body is symmetrical.
B- border. Irregular borders.
C- color. Dark brown/blue/black is cancerous.
D- diameter. Over 6mm is a warning sign.
E- elevation. Moles that are raised are dangerous.

Skin cancers can have many different appearances. They can be small, shiny, or waxy; scaly or rough; firm and red; crusty or bleeding; or have other features. Therefore, anything suspicious should be looked at by a physician. See the individual articles on specific skin cancers for more information.
Here are some features to look for:
Asymmetry: one half of the abnormal skin area is different than the other half
Borders: irregular borders
Color: varies from one area to another with shades of tan, brown, or black (sometimes white, red, blue)
Diameter: usually (but not always) larger than 6mm in size (diameter of a pencil eraser)
Use a mirror or have someone help you look on your back, shoulders, and other hard-to-see areas.

Malignant cells are errant trophoblasts {healing cells}. The healing process is turned off with cyanide-rich Amygdalin {vitamin B17}: the bitter substance found in may seeds & broad-leaf grasses, bamboo, bitter almonds, etc. Cancer {never cancers} is a chronic metabolic disease that has nothing to do with heredity, environmental factors or toxins. As the Western diet, through processing, eliminates raw seeds, millet, etc., cancer rates escalate. See the film: “A World Without Cancer.”

Also, if you have a mole that you are uncomfortable with for ANY reason, insist a biopsy. Many cancerous moles get passed off as warts or regular moles. Don’t let your doctor bully you or intimidate you. They can and often do make mistakes. Also, insist on getting a “punch biopsy” test. Shaving the mole doesn’t show the depth of the mole. Nodular melanomas are sometimes missed because they spread downwards into the skin, where as superficial melanomas spread horizontally on the top of the skin.

You might want to check out psoriasis on the web. Many people get it on their elbows.

Skin cancer is malignant neoplasms (abnormal tissue growths) of the skin & are the most common form of cancer. The major cause of skin cancer is overexposure to sunlight. All skin cancers occur predominantly in exposed skin, mostly on the face, the backs of the hands, & the upper rim of the ear. Melanoma, is the most serious skin cancer. There are two other types. Basal cell carcinoma (abbreviated BCC & often called Rodent ulcer) usually begins as a small, raised, shiney nodule that grows slowly, usually becoming ulcerated & crusted with a raised, pearly border. Without treatment the cancer can extend through skin to destroy underlying muscle & bone.
Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) often develops in the persistent scaly patches known as sun spots or solar keratoses, which enlarge & become raised or warty before eventually ulcerating. This kind of cancer cell invades underlying tissues, & SCC is more likely than BCC to spread to other parts of the body. Diagnosis of BCC & SCC is by biopsy, & treatment is by cautery (heat), cryotherapy (freezing), surgical excision or, occasionally, radiotherapy.
Malignant melanoma most often develops on exposed skin, but can occur anywhere on the body surface including under nails or in the eye. The cancer may arise in an existing mole, which may outline, bleed, itch or form a scab. Half of all melanomas begin in normal skin. Any change in a mole or the appearance of a new, rapidly growing pigmented spot must be reported to your doctor without delay, as early diagnosis & treatment are essential to prevent the melanoma from spreading to lymph glands & other organs. Diagnosis is confirmed by biopsy, & treatment consists of removing the melanoma surgically. If it has spread, anti-cancer drugs may be needed. The cure rate for malignant melanomas that have not spread beyond the surface of the skin is close to 100%. Vaccines to combat the cancer are being studied.

If in doubt, see a dermatologist.
Especially if its changed shape, color, size etc.

I wish that the medial community would stop telling people that a mole has to be 6mm or more to be potentially cancerous. People have had moles much smaller than that and they turned out to be cancer. Another thing I find missleading is the “ABCDs” of a mole. A mole CAN be symetrical and still be cancerous. They can also be one solid colour. They don’t have to have different shades of the same colour.

You should be at the doctors office by now even if you have the slightest suspicion.

The general rule if a mole or skin lesion is larger than a pencil eraser, is very discolored , and is irregularly shaped, it should be looked at by a doctor.

There is this other guy Alex Chiu with his Immortality Rings, he treated lots of cancer cases including skin cancer. I had his Immortality Rings on and it certainly did help alot.

Leaving out existing skin conditions, like moles, usually the earliest sign is somethng new appearing. It might be a sore or a bump. It doesn't heal. It bleeds, scabs over, bleeds again, over and over without healing. Tha's the tip off. It doesn't heal. Unless your dry skin is going through the cycle I described, just put some skin lotion on it and don't worry.
