Posted by: | CommentsTaking care of a newborn baby can be an overwhelming experience for any mom. The tasks involved in baby care – from feeding to diapering to getting your baby to sleep – can be both an emotional and stressful time. However, following some simple tips can help you and provide you with what you know about how to take care of your newborn.
Baby Care Tips
The most important thing to remember is that even if you’re a first time mom, you should always trust your instincts when it comes to taking care of your infant. If you are in doubt about something, whether it be your child’s sleep patterns or how often you should feed your baby, do not hesitate to contact your health care provider.
While it may not seem like it at first, know that eventually you will be able to establish a normal routine with your baby. Feeding and sleep time will take place at more or less set times, although it will probably be unlikely that you will be able to have a fixed schedule. This can be especially helpful for stay at home moms who may also have other children to care for and household duties to which to attend.
Feeding is a central component of infant care and is essential to your baby’s health. Make sure not to restrict the length and frequency of feedings, as your baby needs proper nutrition in order to grow at a healthy rate. If you are breastfeeding, follow these helpful breastfeeding tips:
-
nurse your baby as soon as possible after birth
use a pillow to support your baby as well as for your comfort
establish proper latch on (make sure your baby’s mouth completely covers your nipple)
Working moms can also speak to their employers about breastfeeding policies at the workplace, as well as make alternative arrangements, such as pumping milk beforehand, so that baby gets the nutrition he needs while you’re on the job.
If you experience any pain during breastfeeding, or if your baby is having trouble latching on, talk to your health care provider.
New moms are also concerned about baby sleep safety. Your newborn might sleep for up to 16 hours each day, generally sleeping for 3 to 4 hours at a time.
The following tips can help encourage healthy sleep in your newborn, as proper sleep is essential to baby care:
-
always put your baby in her crib for sleep time; this will help her associate sleeping with her crib and help to establish a routine
put your baby to sleep on her back; this reduces the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)
reduce stimulation at night; dim the lights prior to bedtime and stay silent or speak in only soothing voices to help lull your baby to sleep. It can also be helpful to establish a bedtime routine; for example, make bath time prior to bed time.
make sure there’s nothing in or near your baby’s crib, including bedding, stuffed animals and drapes; these objects could pose a hazard to your newborn
Is your baby still crying? Soothing a crying baby can be a frustrating and emotionally draining experience for a mom, even if you’re a second or third time mom.
Sitting in a rocking chair or carrying your baby close to you can help soothe your newborn. Also, going for a walk or a ride in the car can help your newborn relax, as can speaking in soothing tones or singing to your baby. Wrapping your child in a blanket can also help calm your baby. If you are feeling frustrated, take a few minutes to breathe deeply.
Always remember that you’re not alone when taking care of your newborn. Even if you’re a single parent, you still have resources available – including your health care provider, family and friends – to provide you with advice on how to take care of your newborn.
Also, remember that your baby is unique and therefore requires different care as she develops at her own rate. This is particularly true of special needs children; be loving and attentive with your baby and try to respond to her unique requirements as best as you can. Remember, no mom is perfect – there’s no such thing! The important thing is that you bond with your bundle of joy.

Baby Care-how to Reassure Each Other
Posted by: | CommentsIf you both start out in the knowledge that these first few months can seem like hard work, you’ll be able to reassure each other that you’re coping extremely well. If you accept the validity of each other’s feelings, for more detail go to: www.baby-care-book.com. And hold on to the fact that any difficulties are temporary, you’ll discover that parenthood really is as pleasurable as you expected.
Father
The first few weeks with your baby are important in helping you get used to your new role as a father.
Support your partner. She will be very tired to start with as a result of going through labor and birth, and from the physical and emotional responsibility of breast feeding. Provide her with the time and space to meet your baby’s nutritional needs, and reassure her constantly that she’s doing a difficult job well your support can make all the difference.
Find time to help. If you’re back at work, relish the opportunity to do as much as you can for your partner and your baby when you’re at home.
Give your baby love. Babies need as much love as they can get, and there’s no difference between the love of a father and a mother. If your baby is being breast fed, then obviously he’ll need his mother when he’s hungry, but at all other times he’ll benefit just as much from your close ness and attention. This close ness from you will mean that your baby learns to be secure with both of you, which will help him to settle down and take the pressure off your partner.
Build a relationship with your baby from the start. Your own feelings as a parent will be strengthened if you spend as much time as possible with him. Being an equal partner in your baby’s care will be rewarding and beneficial to you and to your family.
Mother
Your baby’s first few months of life would be tiring for you even if you hadn’t been through the rigors of labor and birth. Spoil your self and look out for your own needs.
Rest with your baby. Use the time when your baby is asleep to catch up on your own sleep. If he has his longest unbroken sleep in the morning, take advantage of it, or rest in the after noon when he does.
Share with your partner. If things are getting on top of you, he needs to know, for your sake and for your baby’s Encourage him to care for the baby when he’s at home, don’t be over protective and try to do every thing your self.
Ask for help. If you’re feeling isolated, don’t struggle alone. Early offers of help may tail off because friends and family don’t want to impose, but they will be glad to be asked.
Get out and about; being tied to the house can make you depressed, for more help visit to: www.create-super-baby.com. so try to get out as much as possible. It’s helpful if you have friends locally who are also at home with young babies. You’ll probably have met Like minded parents at prenatal classes. Having other new parents around you means you can share the good times as well as the worries, and, as your baby grows, he’ll have a ready made circle of friends to play with.

Complete Baby Care – Instructions for New Parents
Posted by: | Comments
What are the aspects of child rearing that are most important to the modern parents of today?
When we look at this issue, we can only symphatise with the modern parents of today because most of them are working or running some full time jobs. There is so little time to spend with the children and babies, if both parents are working , and where the mother is not working, taking care of a baby is a demanding full time job itself that keeps the mother busy at all times. Indeed, taking care of a baby is a 24 hour job, because even a baby can wake up at any time during the night when the parents are trying to catch up on sleep, and so the parents are basically on call the entire day and night.
That is why we need modern tools and equipment, even toys and apparatus that can help parents raise up children in a safe and healthy environment, and still be able to shower love and affection on the little children. With these modern conveniences, parents of today can breathe a little easier, and get some help from these tools to raise up their children in easier ways.
First and foremost, as parents, we need to care for the health of the baby, and secondly, we need to care for the safety of the baby. So our modern tools and aids to help raise a baby are concentrated towards these two important points. By using these tools and aids, parents can still get to work in their professions, and raise up a healthy child. These tools and aids are what we call Baby Care accessories.
Top on the list of baby care accessories will be the accessories that relate to the health of the baby – these are the baby’s health reporting tools and instruments that monitor the baby safety. Most of these tools and aids are fashioned with the baby in mind, and are atractively designed to please the baby’s mind after a lot of research. Most of these accessories are therefore shaped in the form of toys, of lovable animal shapes and in bright colors that can bring a smile on the baby’s face. In this way, the baby does not fear seeing bulky ugly looking instruments but will even enjoy these instruments as if they are their own toys. These tools help parents to monitor the health of the baby and their safety all the time, and therefore free the parents of some important time for them to run their work and jobs, while their babies can grow in a healthy and safe environment.
Baby care accessories that relate to the safety of the baby are:
1. Baby Safety Video Monitor or Cam
2. Baby safety crib
3. Baby Staircase Access Blocker
4. Baby Strollers
5. Baby Chair
Baby Instant care accessories that relate to the health of the baby are:
1. Thermometer or baby wireless thermometer
2. Parental heart listener
3. Duck Bath thermometer, elephant bath thermometer or the hippo bath thermometer
4. Teddy bear digital thermometer or a ear thermometer
5. Pacifier

With these baby care accessories, parents have less of a worry during the time their babies are under child care while they are busy at work, as they know the health and safety of their babies are well taken care of while their babies are not under their direct supervision.

Once you know you’re pregnant, your first call will probably be to your family doctor or gynecologist. He or she may confirm the pregnancy with another test, take your blood pressure, and ask when your last period was to work out the due date. Few Guidelines for Your Baby Care!
Posted by: | Comments
Babies are a precious creation – you must handle him/her with utmost care. Your baby lacks muscle control, so you have to take extra precautions while holding, bathing, feeding, and dressing the baby. Lift the baby slowly and don’t rush when you carry her/him. Newborns are completely dependent on you.
If this is your first baby and have never handled any baby before, the baby’s fragility may be overwhelming for you. For many parents, just holding the tiny baby is nerve-wracking. For more details go to: www.baby-care-book.com below are few guidelines to follow and within a couple of days, you can become an expert.
1. Holding the baby carefully-For a new parent, who has no experience with infants, simply picking up and holding the little one is scary. Take suggestion from older member in the family and friends. Your baby’s head is big and heavy compared to other parts of the baby. Therefore, it is very important to support your baby’s head and neck when you carry the baby up and lay down. A good way to pick the baby up and put him/her down is with your whole arm, which supports spine, neck and head at the same time. When you are going to wake up your baby, don’t shake him/her, just tickle in the feet and the baby will be up. Some parents like to wrap their baby’s legs and hands in a blanket until they are used to it.
2. Feeding the baby- Feeding the newborn is something that every new parent worries about at first. At this period, babies drink either breast milk or formula. If the mother is breastfeeding, then feeding will most likely occur in every few hours and if the baby is bottle fed, then the gap between feedings may go up to two to three hours. Don’t forget to burp the baby after each feeding.
3. Diapering the baby-Everybody knows how to change a diaper, but when you have to do it yourself, it may get messy. You may feel awkward in first few times, but slowly with little practice, you will handle the newborn with ease. While changing diapers, use a waist-high table with safety straps. Lay the babe on the diaper, fold the front half of the diaper over the baby and tighten it with attached tapes.
For can visit to: www.create-super-baby.com Check the diaper in 5 to 10 minutes to see whether it is wet or not. Do not allow the baby to be in wet diaper for a longer period, which may lead to skin infection.
4. dressing the baby-Excited parents spend enough money to buy good clothes for their newborn baby. Whichever clothing you prefer, look for garments that are easy for you to put on and takeoff the baby like large necklines are easy to slip baby’s head. While dressing, support your baby’s head in one hand until he/she is 3 months old.
5. Bathing your baby- Bath time can be enjoyable if you know how to handle the baby while bathing. Until 10 to 15 days after birth, the baby is generally given a sponge bath and after that a daily bath. While bathing in tub, make sure to hold the baby in one hand tightly, otherwise the baby may slip. Right after the bath, wrap your baby in a towel and cover the head.
6. Make yourself sure to fasten the car seat or stroller every time when you are going out. Avoid bouncy or rough roads as this may upset your baby’s stomach.
It is better to ask for your family and friends to get through this time, which can be disturbing. Nurses can also show you how to hold, bath, change, and burp your baby. Though you may feel worried about handling a baby, within 2 to 3 months, you will get used to a daily routine and turn into a professional parent.

Is anyone looking for botanically based baby care products?
I was wondering if anyone was interested in sampling some baby care products. Many baby care products contain mineral oil, the molecular structure of which is too large to penetrate the pores of our skin, sitting on the top layer like saran wrap. These products get wiped off over time and give little to no benefit but rather a temporary feeling of softness. Babys in particular need pure water based products that will penetrate their skin and deeply condition and hydrate with the proper ingredients. Arbonne has a great baby care line that is botanically-based and pH correct, pediatrician and dermatologist tested, non-sensitizing, non-irritating, and formulated without nut oils. They are formulated with natural ingredients like oat flour which is an emollient and an emulsifier. It’s highly absorbent and hypoallergenic. Oat flour helps to soothe and soften dry, itchy and sensitive skin. I'm curious to hear your thoughts. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to send you a free sample.

My husband and I don’t want to take childbirth or baby care classes. Did you take the classes?
I have helped raise my two little brothers and I have taken care of kids for many years.
My husband has never really been around kids and held a newborn baby for the first time a couple of months ago.

Did you take the classes? Any advice?
