Viagra For Erectile Dysfunction Treatment

By admin

Most cases of impotence can be successfully treated with a combination of sexual therapy and the popular impotence treatment, Viagra sildenafil. It is a pioneer treatment for erectile dysfunction and became available when this condition was a taboo subject that many men did not want to talk about. This drug changed all that and today men are more open about discussing and treating their erectile dysfunction problem. It has achieved a cult status and is amongst the most well-known brands today. It is popularly known as the blue pill and is the first and still the most popular erectile dysfunction drug treatment today. It has been developed by Pfizer for to treat impotence and has maintained its solid reputation for almost a decade now.

This erectile dysfunction pill belongs to a class of drugs known as PDE-5 inhibitors. PDE-5 is a chemical that restricts the flow of blood to the penis and prevents erections. Sildenafil blocks the action of PDE-5 and eases blood flow to the penis, thus facilitating a satisfactory erection. It is meant to be taken orally on an empty stomach. The effects of this erectile dysfunction drug last for about 4 hours, but taking a high-calorie meal can slow down its effects.

An FDA-approved impotence treatment, Viagra sildenafil is generally safe for use. However, like other impotence treatments, it too can provoke adverse effects which include flushing, headache, urinary tract infection, stomach ache, dizziness, diarrhoea, vision problems and rashes. Call your doctor immediately if you experience any of the rare side effects such as intraocular pressure, heart attack, severe hypotension, priapism (prolonged and painful erections), and sudden loss of hearing, stroke and ventricular arrhythmias after taking this impotence treatment.

Viagra should be taken orally, once in 24 hour period, about an hour before sexual activity. It is available as oral tablets in 25mg, 50mg and 100mg strengths. 50mg is the recommended dose strength. Viagra (Sildenafil) comes in a film-coated tablet that should be stored in a cool, dry place. The safety and effectiveness of Viagra (Sildenafil) when used with other impotence treatments has not been studied. The use of such treatments in combination with it is therefore not recommended. Viagra is suitable only for men that suffer from erectile dysfunction. It should not be taken for pleasure purposes. Women and children should also not take this erectile dysfunction treatment.
