Outpatient rehab programs are often more successful for people who have short term, moderate addictions, as well as an alternative to residential rehab for those who have full-time jobs or small children they need to care for.
These outpatient drug rehab programs are usually not very intensive compared to residential drug rehab programs, but many of these offer the exact same services, like regular therapy, medical care and help you to regain the neceessary re-socialization abilities.

Question and Answer
Drug Rehab?
So my husband is ready for rehab. He abuses his prescription medication, and takes pills that are also not prescribed to him. However He is worried about going to a inpaitent rehab due to me not being able to pay the bills alone and we have two kids. I was wondering how successful is outpaitent rehab and is it just as effective and inpaitent?
To Douglas, He himself made the choice to go to rehab, he actually told me I could go live with his mom if worst come to worst. I myself are also worried about the bills and just wonder this question too.

You go should discuss this with your probation officer. Most of these programs are income sensitive. You need to take it seriously and not just "skirt the rules". Yes it's a pain in the a** and as you know if you don't like it you can serve the time. Stay the hell away from the people you used to use with. I'm glad I'm straight now. I don't need constant reminders and lectures. Enough of the people I hung with are dead or in jail. I just want to get on with something else besides the damn meetings and reporting in.
Call your health dept. if your PO doesn't have any good suggestions. Mine was at no cost. Good luck.

I really can't tell which one is the best drug rehab in New Jersey but if you could just specify the city you live in it might be a great help. Anyway, I've added a link to a list of drug rehabs in New Jersey. I hope it will help you decide. Good luck to your husband's full recovery.

In Florida, drug rehabs usually have two treatments: inpatient treatment and outpatient treatment. Although both treatments should be attended to for quite some time, the first would usually require patients to be admitted to a rehab facility while the latter allows the patient to get rehab treatment at home.
A typical Florida drug rehab would always have detox as its first step in treating drug addiction. Detox has three stages: medical detox (the most painful phase where narcotics are washed away from your body), physical detox (a nutritionist would ensure that the diet is suited to the patient's needs) and emotional detox (drug-dependence is dealt with).
Aside from providing treatments to drug addiction, drug rehabs in Florida also offer treatment to dual diagnosis or those who still find themselves dependent on drugs leading to their on-and-off duel with addiction. With Florida drug rehabs now having a holistic approach to providing longterm effects in the fight for sobriety, I know that your friend has a high chance of coming clean.

The duration of the addiction treatment is likely to be dependent upon the needs of the person. It's also dependent upon the length of time that the patient has been taking the substance. Your neighbor has to respond to the treatment positively so as to get out of rehab sooner. It takes a couple of months, and may even extend to a year or so.

You can get an court order for her to be put into a clinic for 30 days if she is a danger to herself or others or if she is not competant to make the decision herself. To get such an order, you should get her accessed by a doctor and keep proof of her unstable behaviour to show that she is no longer able to care for herself.

Talking to a doctor and asking for recommendations is always a good way to start. Having your father get assessed by him would be good too. Inquire first and know much about a rehab center before you take your pick.
I'm glad your dad finally decided to get himself treated. It's always hard when somebody's a drug addict in the family. It's good of you to look out for him and try to find ways to better his life. Good luck to you and your dad.

It varies from state to state, as well as region to region, and also depends on if insurance is covering it or not. In-patient vs. out-patient rehab programs also have varying rules.
In general, there will be individual as well as group counseling, along with a push to continue going to AA, NA, or similar meetings after you "graduate" or complete treatment.
If it is in-patient, the main required things are the counseling, and there will be other activities available: there is usually a game room and a tv room. Some centers have arts and crafts, art therapy, or art supplies available. There will be coffee everywhere. Most people trade their drug or alcohol addiction for a coffee addiction, which is more socially acceptable and causes way fewer issues.
There is a long list of what you can not do. Depending on the place and the program, you may or may not be allowed to smoke. There may be visitors allowed, or not, or sometimes allowed after a certain amount of time. There are consequences if you don't follow the rules, up to and including being kicked out, or "failing" the program.
You really would have to research the individual center. Most places have on-line sites that can give you a better idea.

I am from New England, but I can tell you right now that NO treatment will work on him unless he wants to be clean. Until you find a place, he should go to as many Narcotics Anonymous meetings as possible-NA.org because for long term, he has to be in some kind of regular program, and that's the best one. He may need help detoxing for a few days, but other than that, there isn't much rehab can do for you unless you are willing to be clean, and stay away from any person, place, or thing that is a trigger to use drugs. Good luck, you can also go to Al-Anon yourself for support.
